This page explains how CartVoltage researches, writes and maintains its guides, so you can judge how much to trust what you read here.
Where our information comes from
We use sources in this order of priority:
- Manufacturer datasheets, product pages and owner’s manuals
- Golf cart manufacturer documentation (EZGO, Club Car, Yamaha and others) for stock voltages, battery configurations and charger ports
- Retailer fitment listings, used to cross-check dimensions and compatibility claims
- Owner reports on forums and communities, always identified as owner-reported
What we don’t do
- We do not physically test batteries, chargers or carts, and we never claim to. If a page says a pack “fits” a cart, that is based on published dimensions and manufacturer fitment lists, not on us installing it.
- We do not invent specs. If a manufacturer doesn’t publish a figure, the table says “not stated” or “see datasheet.”
- We do not publish star ratings or review scores of our own, and we don’t reproduce Amazon customer ratings on the site.
- We do not accept payment from brands for placement, rankings or reviews.
How “best” picks are chosen
Comparison pages rank products on published specifications against explicit criteria stated on the page — BMS continuous current, capacity, case material, whether a charger is bundled, safety certifications, and warranty terms. Each pick explains which criteria it wins on and who should not choose it. Affiliate commission rates play no part in the ordering.
Technical review
All battery, BMS and charging content is written and reviewed by Dr. Muhammad Naeem, a lithium-ion battery engineer (PhD, Chemical Engineering) who leads LFP pack development professionally. Technical claims about cell chemistry, BMS behaviour and charging are checked against that experience as well as manufacturer documentation. See About.
Use of AI tools
Human verification and editorial review are central to our publishing process. Every published specification is checked against its original source by a person, and Dr. Muhammad Naeem reviews and edits the final text before publication. AI tools provide supporting assistance with organizing research, structuring drafts, and flagging inconsistencies. They do not independently generate specifications, fitment claims, or recommendations. Responsibility for the final published content remains with our human editorial team.
Updates and corrections
Battery listings change often capacities, bundles and even brand names. Comparison tables carry an “as of” date. When we learn of a change or an error, we update the page and, for significant corrections, note the change at the bottom. To report an error, use the contact page.
Safety
Our conversion guides describe common procedures for informational purposes. Working with golf cart batteries involves high current and, with lead-acid, corrosive electrolyte. Follow the battery and cart manufacturers’ instructions, use appropriate safety equipment, and if you’re not comfortable with the work, have it done by a qualified technician.
